Shaping Students' Minds….

I am Mrs. Cari Mestl, and this is my 19th year of teaching 5th grade at Amherst Public School.  My husband, Mr. Ken Mestl, teaches at Amherst as well.  He teaches Jr. high/high school math.  We have two children.  Our daughter, Michaela, got married in December to our new son-in-law, Jarod, and they currently live in Omaha where she is a wealth advisor, and he will be a second year medical student at UNMC. Our son, Tyler, is a junior at UNK majoring in business/finance and was on the baseball team until the program was cut due to budget cuts.

I earned my undergraduate teaching degree through Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS, and my Masters Degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  I am in my 31st year of teaching.

The best way to contact me is by email at cmestl@amherstbroncos.org, or you may call me at school at (308) 826-3131 or on my cell phone (308) 440-7094.
